Andy & Rebecca’s Wedding

In October 2016, we were honoured to host the beautiful Autumn wedding of Andy and Rebecca Herring, in Ta Mill’s secluded Cornish countryside.

Andy and Rebecca celebrated their special day with their nearest and dearest and had their children standing by their sides. Their son was a page boy, Rebecca’s lovely daughters were bridesmaids and her son was a groomsman. Of course, we can’t forget their beloved four-legged family member, Red the Jack Russell, who thoroughly enjoyed a day of strokes and cuddles.

The gorgeous bride and her handsome groom took their vows in the elaborately decorated ceremony room, overlooking the pretty courtyard. The room was adorned with charming bunting and a twinkling disco ball, with Halloween pumpkins lining the isle. If this isn’t a sign of an October wedding, we don’t know what is! The wedding featured an abundance of beautiful flowers by the talented Mandie Knowles of Designer Blooms Florist. The bride’s bouquet and hair piece followed along a vintage theme, featuring warm pinks and reds, urban oranges, deep purples and splashes of blue with hints of elegant sparkle. In her vintage dress, surrounded by brilliant colours and simply radiating happiness, Rebecca looked truly dazzling. Adding to the special occasion, a rainbow even decided to grace us with its colourful presence.

The lovely couple spent their first moments as newlyweds strolling around the countryside of Ta Mill, exploring the gardens and having wonderfully romantic photos taken by Indigo Wild Studio. Ta Mill made the perfect backdrop, with its enchanting trees and rustic autumnal foliage. The celebration continued with fun and games, canapés, and of course music.

The reception was a great success. Table places were set out with vintage crockery and lovely handmade candles in vintage tea cups. The newlyweds and their guests enjoyed a delicious hog roast, catered by Charlie Cole of Kernow Hog Roast. Later guests were treated to a heavenly dessert of crepes, provided by Pleased to Sweet You. The cream layered naked wedding cake, embellished with berries and flowers and presented on top of a rustic log, was breathtaking.

Andy and Rebecca’s wedding day was so beautiful; we were truly delighted to have been able to host and help them with their special day, and the creation of memories they will treasure for the rest of their happy lives together.
