Our Guidelines

Firstly, we have ensured that the property that you have booked will be cleaned and sanitised to the COVID-19 Ready Guidelines as recommended by PASC UK, the AA and Visit England. We have produced a Risk Assessment that covers all aspects of our business and communicated this to our staff and they are following a strict policy to help protect employees, visitors and our local community.  We have achieved the ‘GOOD TO GO’ certification, recognising that we are following the government and industry COVID-19 guidelines.

Local relationships are important to us all and some are understandably apprehensive about the potential impacts of returning visitors; they will need reassurance demonstrated by your thoughtfulness. We would ask you to show the same spirit. Please show consideration for our staff, other visitors, and our local community. We would urge everyone to respect social distance and hygiene protocols in all contacts both inside and outside of Ta Mill. Thank you.

We are preparing the shared facilities for your use and these will be available if HMG government guidelines allow.

The Games room will be available to be booked for 2 hour sessions. There will be hand sanitiser inside, but we ask that you wash your hands thoroughly before entering the room.  Table tennis bats, balls and pool cues will be provided and disinfected between sessions.   The games room should only be used by members of the same household or groups as permitted by government guidelines.  Children must be supervised.  Do not enter the games room if you have not booked.

Pitch ’n’ putt

Please book with Helen to use the pitch ’n’ putt.  Disinfected clubs and balls will be made available outside reception in the churn. On returning, please put clubs on ground and balls in bucket labelled ‘returned balls’. You will be able to book a 90 minute slot.

Spa and hot tub. These facilities will only be open when HMG guidelines allow.  It will be but on a restricted basis between 10am and 9pm to allow for disinfection between sessions.  The following instructions must be followed:

  • You must shower at your accommodation before using the facility.
  • You must shower at your accommodation following your session.
  • You must wear flip flops on your feet (or other easily washable footwear) and strictly swimming pool attire, no t-shirts etc.
  • The cover will be open on your arrival, please leave the cover open when you depart.
  • You must depart strictly at the end of your one hour session to ensure we have time to disinfect before other guests.

(There will be no shower available at the facilities).

Children’s play area

The outdoor play area will be open for use.  Children must be supervised whilst using this facility.  Children must wash their hands before going on the equipment and wash their hands when leaving.  Please ensure you and your children adhere to social distance rules in this area.

The great outdoors

The nature trail and shared lawn areas are available for you to roam and play freely, in a socially distanced way.   When meeting in a social group with occupants of another property, please follow current government regulations around social distancing.

Your accommodation

The accommodation must only be used by members of the same household. You are not permitted to invite members of a different family into the holiday accommodation.  Please remember to bring toilet roll and personal toiletries,  hand sanitiser and other items you consider may be necessary for your stay.

We have HMG guidelines that only two households (which can include a bubble) can holiday together in July. We cannot police this and ask therefore that you risk assess your own party and decide for yourself if your group is appropriate.

To limit transmission of bacteria or virus, we have removed non-essential items from your accommodation but if you have any requirements during your stay for any items (eg. blankets, cafetiere, dustpan and brush), please contact Helen.


Please leave windows open (on the latch if windy/ rainy).  Leave key in door and sliding doors slightly ajar.  Text Helen on 07778 961819 to confirm time of departure.  Please take the complimentary box of tissues, and soap with you. Please do not remove disinfectant spray, microfibre cloth etc.  Do not strip beds, but please put towels and bath mats in plastic bag provided.

If you develop COVID-19 symptoms whilst staying at Ta Mill then you must immediately go and get tested by contacting https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/testing-and-tracing/get-an-antigen-test-to-check-if-you-have-coronavirus/.

The result must be shared with us. If positive, you will need to leave if any member of your party can drive you. If that is not possible and you have to self-isolate here, then you will be have to pay for all bookings that have to be cancelled as a result.

We will need you to provide, names, telephone numbers and email addresses of everyone in the party, so that we can pass this onto the NHS if it is required. This information will not be used for any other purpose. This must be provided at the point of arrival or before.
